A clear plan for every player
We’ve launched our upgraded Individual Development Plan (IDP) process. Every player now gets a live, online IDP in place of a static PDF.
Each IDP is now:
- Digital: always up to date and available online.
- Aligned: attributes match our Core Game Skills© and Physical Development Framework©.
- Graded: players are measured across five grades: Learning, Developing, Consistent, Advanced and Exceptional.
12 attributes, 3 areas
Each attribute is now graded on a five-level scale using our assessment rubric. Alongside the grades, the plan includes the coach’s written notes and a radar chart of the player’s strengths.
- Technical: passing, receiving, running with the ball, 1v1, ball striking
- Physical: co-ordination, agility, power, speed
- Psychological: willingness to learn, resilience, confidence
The IDP schedule
- Trial session: the coach completes a baseline assessment and the plan goes live.
- Start of season: all 12 attributes are reassessed and season focus areas are agreed.
- Mid-season: grades and notes are updated and targets adjusted where needed.
- End of season: a full assessment shows progress and sets up the next season.
Built for players and parents
IDPs are online, so they open on any phone, tablet or laptop. Each plan shows the player’s profile, attribute grades, radar chart and their coach’s latest notes.
