Description
The athlete plays a bounce pass with the coach before opening to receive the ball, taking their touch through the poles. After, the athlete plays a wall pass before passing it back to the coach. The athlete drops out again towards the second pole before receiving the ball again, repeating the same actions on the back pole before passing the ball back to the coach for the restart.
Key Coaching Points
Direction of touch - Open the hips and shoulders to show where you want to receive it. Use your body to step into the touch by moving in the direction you want the ball to travel.
Angle of touch - Take the ball 45 degrees out to the side, keeping the ball on the safe side from where the ball has been played. Play the pass with the same foot as received.
Awareness - Scan / check of the shoulder of what is around but also where the athlete wants to go.
