Back
Break The Box
Description
The athlete will receive a pass from the coach and take their first touch out towards their left, before turning and playing a pass into the rebounder. When the athlete receives from the rebounder they should then take their first touch out towards their right, before turning and playing a pass into the coach.
Depending on your session outcomes you can focus on the receiving element of the practice, or the turning element of the practice.
Key Coaching Points
- Can the player take a positive first touch, aiming to get outside of the box with their first touch?
- Make sure the weight of the pass is game realistic when passing to the coach and into the rebounder
- Encourage a good body position to receive
